The Liberator Small Batch is a light but characterful blended whiskey. It has rich dried fruits on the nose, and black currant, cloves, orange zest, and pear drops, with a creamy mouthfeel, on the palate. The finish is medium length, with vanilla, almonds, and some spice.
Wayward Spirits’ small batch blending is a collaborative process between their team of 3 blenders, bringing together John’sdecades of classic scotch perspective, Julia’s extensive knowledge of world whiskey, and Maurice’s determination to create something approachable and flavorful.
Distillation
A premium blend, with an unusually high (42 %) content of malt whiskey (most blends have 5 to 15 % malt), giving it depth and complexity, while retaining the approachability of the grain component. The components are 42 % malt whiskey, pot still distilled from 100 % malted barley, and 58 % grain whiskey, column distilled from maize and wheat.
Cases produced: Batch 1.- 3,000 bottles.
Aging: 5 to 10 years.
Proof: 92 Proof / 46 % ABV.
