Grapes grow in the Novara hills at the foot of Monte Rosa in Piedmont, where the glacial soils are rich in clay, sand, & hundreds of minerals. Fermented in steel then decanted into French oak barrels for 30 months.
Opens with aromas of licorice, red fruit, & peppery spice. Velvety, complex fruit of red cherry, raspberry, blueberry, rosehips, & prune that moves to savory tobacco, earth, leather, smoke, balsamic, & white pepper. Fresh & deeply mineral, it closes with soft, velvety tannins.
