Nathan “Nearest” Green was the first Black American master distiller, who taught a young Jack Daniel how to make whiskey. Over a century later, Green’s 5th generation descendant Victoria Eady Butler carries on his legacy as the master blender for Uncle Nearest.
Uncle Nearest 1884 honors the year Green retired as master distiller at Jack Daniel’s. Aromas of butterscotch, dried fruit, oak, baking spice, copper, & honey continue on the palate with cocoa, leather, nuts, and graham crackers. Well-balanced, warm & slightly oaky, it’s perfect for mixing or sipping.
