There is some good freshness and bright citrus within the 2018 Falanghina del Sannio Svelato. The wine has a pretty intensity and brightness, with intermingled tones of natural rubber, orchard fruit and grapefruit. A colleague of mine who tasted this wine suggested it would be the perfect pairing for spaghetti with colatura di alici, Campania's inimitable anchovy extract used to flavor local pasta dishes or poured over bread. An ample 65,000 bottles were produced.
