Stolpman Vineyards makes vibrant, site-specific, low-intervention wine in California’s Central Coast. The winery sits in Ballard Canyon, on limestone soils unprotected from the strong Pacific winds.
From hand-harvested older vines, mostly planted in the 1970s in Santa Barbara’s Los Alamos Corridor & Los Olivos District. Whole grape bunches are fermented carbonically for 7 days in shallow steel tanks.
Ripely aromatic, with tropical notes of tangerine peel, guava, and passionfruit. Juicy citrus, papaya, cantaloupe, and pomelo pith join layers of exotic florals, savory spice, and white pepper before a richly textural, crunchy finish.
50% Pinot Gris, 23% Orange Muscat, 19% Semilllon, 8% Gewürztraminer. Natural. Organic.
