Stolpman Vineyards is located on a limestone outcropping in the Central Coast, unobstructed from the Pacific Ocean wind. A thin layer of dense clay topsoil allows for moisture retention, forcing the roots to grow deep into the earth.
“La Cuadrilla” is the crew, which Stolpman employs full-time year-round so they can have a steady job & raise their families locally with security. Vineyard manager Ruben Solorzano runs a vine training program, where the workers become more farmers than just workers. The Cuadrilla program also gives back 10% of all profits to the crew, ensuring they feel responsibility & ownership for their job.
