Pedro Rodríguez comes from a long line of colleterros (boutique wineries) in the Amandi area of Ribeira Sacra. He named his winery Guímaro, his grandfather's nickname which means "rebel" in the local Gallego dialect. This Mencía comes from very old vines, leading to lovely, juicy concentration. Savory & silky with red fruit, plums, wet earth, & sweet spice. Aged in steel, no oak.
