In 2000, an early hailstorm hit Mendoza, naturally pruning a Bonarda vineyard. Though the yield was halved, the remaining grapes had an incredible concentration & structure, thus Colonia las Liebres was born. From a semi-desert climate in Lujan de Cujo on sandy, loam soils, then aged in concrete. Fresh & crunchy, with cherry & bramble berries, summer tomatoes, violets, licorice, & wild herbs. Silky on the finish with fine tannins.
100% Bonarda. Organic.
