Perelada 3 Finques is a red wine from the Empordà produced by the Castillo de Perelada winery. This cellar, established in 1923 in Perelada (Girona), has a tradition of wine preparation that goes back to the Middle Ages. Perelada 3 Finques is a balanced blend of Grenache (46%), Merlot (27%), Samso (13%), Syrah (7%), Cabernet Sauvignon (3%) and Tempranillo (4%). The grapes come from three different farms: Pont de Molins (sandy soils) La Garriga (sandy loam soils) and Espolla (slate soils). It's aged for 12 months in a combination of French and American oak barrels. This diversity of soil and grapes provides great a complexity and richness of nuances in the wine.
