Paul Pernot has run this 200+ year-old, 7 generation family domaine since 1955. Now in his 80s, Paul’s sons mostly taken over the reins, but he still shows up to the winery every day. Most of the 20 hectare production is sold off to the négociants, but they hold the best 20% back to bottle themselves.
The wines are made much the same as they’ve always been: whole-cluster pressed, barrel fermented & aged 11 months in oak.
Ripe & fresh notes of pear, orange oil, smoke, and fresh pastry. Ample & fleshy, the generous core of fruit and touch of oak lead to a mouthwatering saline finish.
Chardonnay. Sustainable.
