PVR is named for the historic dirt road that runs along the Stoller family’s Chalk Knoll Vineyard. Grapes come from estate vineyards & the San Ardo Ranch in the rocky hills of southern Monterey County. Aged 14 months in 27% New French & American oak barrels.
Dark garnet, fully extracted California Cab. Earth & eucalyptus, with smoky cassis, dark chocolate, and black currant, finishing with toasty oak, roasted nuts, & old leather. A nice bit of tannic grip on the finish. Not too jammy.
