Portland distillery New Deal adds an unaged pear brandy to their arsenal, distilled from estate-grown Hood River Bartlett pears in cooperation with the Pereday Orchard in Oregon's Historic Columbia River Gorge. A complement, rather than a competitor, to Portland's most famous distillery and its particular poire. Where that brandy is clean and crisp, New Deal's is earthy, grassy, and rich, like dried fruit.
