The Biscardo family has made wine in Veneto since 1840. Today, the family focuses on the traditional, indigenous grapes of the region with an eye on sustainability.
Native to Veneto, Corvina is a very dark, late-ripening grape, named for the jet-black plumage of crows & ravens. It’s best known for the region's incredible Amarones & Valpolicellas, but makes some lovely food-friendly everyday wines. Biscardo’s version grows on clay & limestone over layers of stones.
Refined, elegant, & complex with notes of cherries, dark berries, & plum layered with marzipan, floral hints, tobacco leaf, and elegant spices. Round & structured, the silky, velvety tannins lead to a pleasantly dry finish.
