Grechetto Il Pometo Umbria is a white wine with a strong sense of place, produced by the Lungarotti winery. Made entirely from Grechetto grapes, this wine represents one of the oldest indigenous grape varieties, renowned for its purity and expression of the terroir. The harvest takes place in mid-September, ensuring optimal ripeness to preserve the typical aroma and freshness of Grechetto.
This Grechetto is made exclusively from free-run juice, obtained by gently pressing the grapes. The process includes a short cryomaceration, followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine is aged on its lees until bottling, which enhances its aromas and flavors.
With its intense straw-yellow color, this Grechetto offers an intoxicating aromatic bouquet with floral notes of jasmine and rose, accompanied by hints of exotic fruits like pineapple, citrus, and touches of anise. On the palate, it is dry and full-bodied, characterized by a lively freshness and a distinctive flavor, with a typical almond finish characteristic of the vine.
Perfect to accompany fish dishes such as tuna belly sashimi and Japanese amberjack, enhancing the flavors with its freshness and complexity.
