Louis Chenu Père & Filles had been started by Angel, the ‘grandmother of their grandfather’ around 1914.
5 generations later, it’s the two daughters Juliette and Caroline who now run the 9ha estate. Until the sisters took over, everything was sold as must or in barrel to the négoce. They decided to start slowly bottling with their small machine, and go for full organic farming. They are certified since 2015.
The white wines of Savigny can be quite lively; their softness appears during their evolution and give harmonious and solid wines. They have a very pronounced terroir taste, the texture is rich, opulent and perfectly balanced. The palate is fresh and fruity. Some compare it to its famous and close neighbour, Corton Charlemagne.
