This family domaine was first started in 1617, then reborn when Mathias & Camile Marquet decided to start bottling their own wines instead of selling to the local negotiants. They pared down the 17 hectares to just the best plots, and introduced gardens & livestock to create a true polyculture.
Grapes for "Blizzard" are source from a neighbor just a 6 minute drive away ("hors de murs" translates to "beyond the wall"). The wine spends 5 months in concrete for fresh, pure complexity. Apples, pears, blossoms, and herbs, with a crisp, peachy finish.
70% Sauvignon Blanc, 30% Semillon. Organic. Biodynamic.
