Winemaker Alban Michel named his estate after his wife Hélène and a famous song by George Brassens. Meaning “the bad reputation”, this wine is a nod to when Carignan was looked down on as a filler grape.
Here 100+ year-old vines grow on clay & limestone, are macerated for 15 days, then age 8 months in old barrels.
Rich with black fruits, earth, spice, & leather, with an herbaceous note of garrigue, olives, & bay leaves.
100% Carignan. Organic. Natural.
