Master-craft, well aged rum from the Dominican Republic gets its name from a wooden schooner used to run rum from the Caribbean to the United States during the height of Prohibition. The extra time in the barrel adds considerable complexity to the rum's vanilla & dried fruit notes: walnuts and a hint of sherry; brown sugar and coffee. Enough of a bargain that it can fit into most any cocktail, but its real calling is neat or with a splash of water.
