The historic Koehler-Ruprecht estate is one of the oldest and most traditional wineries in the Palatinate, invoking a strict non-interventionist approach, with no irrigation, fertilizers, herbicides, chaptalization or there manipulations in the vineyards or cellar.
Meticulously selected grapes from 15 year old vines grow on limestone soils, and are spontaneously fermented in ancient oak 2400L doppelstück casks, with a short soak, and no malolactic fermentation.
Lip-smackingly fresh, with delicate strawberry, raspberry, red currant, and ripe pink citrus. Savory notes of white pepper, mustard greens, wet leaves, forest floor, and a touch of quinine on the minerally, spice-laden finish.
100% Pinot Noir. Sustainable
