Kévin & Fabien Garon are members of one of the oldest families in Côte-Rôtie, whose wine growing experience dates back to the 15th century.
This Syrah comes from the Seyssuel plot just across the river from Côte-Rôtie north of Ampuis. The 40-50 year-old vines grow on loose soils of blonde gneiss & granite. Gently extracted with a long maceration.
Aromas of dark forest berries, pepper, graphite, & violets lead to a palate of smoked meats, licorice, black olive, bouquet garni, cassis, & wood smoke. Mineral-driven & savory, it perfectly balances power & elegance wrapped up in a juicy acidity & silky tannins.
