Jérémie Huchet took over his family’s 4th generation estate in 2001, and immediately began expanding his holdings (now 64 hectares) and converting the vineyards to organic viticulture. He is committed to respecting the ancient traditions of Muscatet to better understand each of his plots.
Clos les Montys lies on the marshland of Goulaine. The soils are rocky, sandy, & silty, strewn with sandstone. The bedrock below is composed of amphibolite and metagabbro, creating grapes with thick skins that can be harvested quite late, for fleshy, structured wines. Aged on the lees in steel for 6-9 months.
Light & crisp, with acacia flowers, pear, mandarin, citrus, and a mouthwatering minerality. The finish is energetic & racy, tinged with green, herbal, saline notes, and a round texture.
100% Melon de Bourgogne. Organic.
