Jim Fischer & Jenny Mosbacher make this Pinot Gris more like a red wine, extracting a rich, rosy color from the pink-skinned grape. Fruit was sourced from 20-48 year old vines from the organically farmed Silvershot, Beckenridge, and No Clos Radio Vineyards. Mostly destemmed, with about 17% whole cluster fermentation, the grapes sat with the skins for 14 days before being pressed off into a mix of mostly neutral French, Hungarian, and Oregon oak to age for 9 months.
Fruit punch bursts from the glass, with tons of bright red fruit and orange peel joining cinnamon, leather, and dusty earth. Totally dry, with concentrated fruit & savory flavors, refined tannins, and a well-balanced acidity.
