Familia Schroeder is located in San Patricio del Chañar Valley, in the wild plains of northern Patagonia. The dry and extreme terroir is known for its frequent winds, cool nights, and long summer days.
During construction of the winery, fossilized bones of an herbivorous dinosaur that roamed the earth 75 million years ago were discovered, inspiring the Saurus line. In turn, the palentologists who studied the fossils named the new species Panamericansaurus Schroederi in recognition of the family’s contribution to the excavation.
Whole berry macerated at low temperatures, with spontaneous malo. Aged in 40% new French oak and 60% stainless steel for 9 months.
Floral aromas of roses an violets, combined with red currants, raspberries, and strawberries. Savory notes of mushrooms, thyme, and minerals mingle with vanilla and cocoa from the oak. The sweet tannins and fruity nuances bring forth a firm finish.
