Alfred Maestro's wines are his way to better tell the story of the land in Castilla y León. He uses organic & biodynamic methods, only adding a tiny bit of sulfur at bottling. Viña Almate is his first wine, now the winery's flagship. Rich & dark, with plum, dark cherry & blackberry compote, leather, toffee, & rose. Wild fermentation, 30% whole cluster. 4 months in neutral French oak.
