All of Vartsikhe Marani's wines are produced in traditional Georgian clay pots, called qvevri. After fermentation, the quevri are buried until spring, allowing the seeds, skins, and stems to sink to the bottom, so the pure juice is on top. Deep & dark, with tart black plum, blackberry, black pepper, vanilla, and spice. Big, well-integrated tannins meet a lovely acidity on the finish.
