Kristie Tacey studied as a microbiologist, even working on the Human Genome Project before switching to the science of wine. After working with several family-farmed vineyards, she’s moved to the natural side, now making wines in an entirely hands-off fashion.
A tribute to David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust, “Soul Love” defies classification. Some skin contact on the grapes gives this a vividly pink hue, while partial whole cluster fermentation brings a savory quality. Aged in a mix of neutral French oak and steel.
Bright, punchy, & juicy, with hibiscus, guava, raspberry, and Hawaiian Punch. There’s a surprising amount of power & grip, with a floral note of violets & rosewater joining citrus peel on the lip-smacking, clean, fresh finish.
