Since 1870 the Margaritelli family has worked the land; since 1950 with focus on its vineyards. A small estate that produces the appellations, Torgiano Rosso Riserva, at least 70% Sangiovese. The Roccascossa fills out the remainder with Cabernet Franc, noticeable in its nose of fresh-cut grass and tobacco. On the palate it's Sangiovese all the way: red cherry, pomegranate, baking spices and good acidity with a touch of earthiness.
