Owner Rodolfo Cosimi is a former European Motocross Champion & a painter whose art adorns the Terra Rossa’s labels.
Sangiovese Grosso, the same grape used for Brunello, grows on the southwest side of the hill of Montalcino at 470m on sand-limestone soils. Fermented in wooden vats, it ages 6-8 month in 90% French & 10% American oak.
Fruity, full, & fresh, with red cherries, raspberries, cedar, & vanilla. Decanting allows the light-grained tannins to bring good structure & a soft elegance to the bright, spicy finish.
