Porta del Vento is based near the village of Camporeale in Sicily. At 600m elevation, constant, brutal winds sweep through the steeply sloped vineyards. Farming is manual & biodynamic, with a strict, non-interventionist approach in the winery.
Old bush vine Catarratto grows on clay-limestone soils, aged in cement tanks & vinified using the ancestral method. Bottled undisgorged for a lovely cloudy haze.
Light & fizzy, with ample tropical fruit & citrus aromas. Fresh & easy on the palate with a light mineral touch, wet rocks, pear, white peach, cream, flowers, melon, & touch of vanilla
