Opening this one is like smashing the piñata: out comes all the goodies. Smooth, buttery oak bazooka with raspberry, cherry, currant, and violet and rosemary. Then it's big oaky vanilla, hazelnut, and nutmeg. Not the piquant tartness one expects from Barbera, though some acidity manages to thread the big, rich, savory notes.
