Piombaia is one of the highest elevation wineries in Montalcino, giving this Sangiovese an elegant character. Intense, full, & refined, with red & black berries, blood orange, & wild plum intertwined with notes of clove, thyme, & cedar oak. The ripe, silky tannins & lush acidity lead to a long, spicy finish. Aged in 15hL & 30hL barrels for 36 months, plus a full year in bottle.
