Pelotón de la Muerte represents the “squadron of death” who sought revenge for the murder of the priest Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla, the leader of the Mexican Revolutionary War.
Made from a local agave, Maguey Criollo, which grows wild in Guerrero, near Mazatlán. Roasted underground, with a 5 day spontaneous open air fermentation, then double distilled in alembic & Filipino stills with a wood hat.
The nose of rich agave & fresh cut mango moves to candied apple, sweet caramel, Mexican brown sugar, & orange peel with a smoky, salty finish.
