Nicole Lamarche took over this family estate when her father François retired in 2006. She focuses on respecting the terroir of each wine, keeping the viticulture & vilification traditional.
This wine comes from 3 parcels in Clos de Vougeot, in the northwest, southwest, & southeast corners, totaling 1.36 hectares. Grapes were picked on the same day & co-fermented in open-top wooden vats with 10-30% whole cluster, gentle extraction, 16-20 months aging in mostly new oak.
Succulently seductive, yet powerful & concentrated. Softly spiced, with a floral nose leading to ripe cherry, red currant, raspberry, white pepper, & newly turned earth. There’s a mineral edge to the firm texture and elegant tannic structure.
Pinot Noir. Sustainable.
