Lumen’s Lane Tanner was the first independent female winemaker in Santa Barbara County, who has always held fast to her philosophy of honest, hands-on winemaking.
This ramato-style Pinot Gris comes from the Sierra Madre Vineyard in Santa Maria Valley, one of the oldest vineyard sites in the region. The grapes were picked early, then fermented in open vats with 10 days of skin contact & full malo before 4 months in neutral oak.
Piercing & puckery, with tons of strawberry, peach, lime, guava jelly, and orange marmalade. Finished with a touch of kombucha-esque funk, invigorating saline minerality, and gently grippy tannins.
Pinot Gris. Sustainable. Orange.
