Though it’s grown in Languedoc, this Pinot Noir has a distinctly Burgundian lineage. The estate is owned by the Roux family of Burgundy’s Domaine Roux in Saint-Aubin. Founded in 1885, Domaine Roux now owns 150 acres of vines throughout France, focusing on terroir-driven, varietally accurate wines.
The family’s generations of experience shows here, with a distinct Burgundian flair. Grown on south & eastern facing slopes, hand-harvested & softly pressed, the wine was fermented and aged in steel. Lusciously round & soft, with a velvety texture, spiced fruit & pleasant tannins. Cherries & blueberries flirt with black pepper, baking spice & minerals. Medium bodied, the dark fruit & spice notes continue on through the lingering finish.
