Le Vieux Donjon has perfected their craft, creating just 2 cuvées (one red, one white) each year. Tremendously old vines, up to 80 years old, partial destemming, fermented in cement before 18-24 months in neutral foudres for a classic, old-school CDP.
Ripe cherries & raspberries dusted with clove & star anise, with hints of leather, cocoa, smoked game, olive, & peppery garrigue. Will age gracefully, or open beautifully when decanted.
Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cinsault.
