The 9th Edition is Kilchoman's much-touted "single-farm single-malt" whisky. A vatting of 43 ex-Bourbon barrel–aged malts, each aged 9 years. No chill filtration and all natural color. For those with the finest taste buds on planet earth, the peat levels are at a modest 20ppm, rather than Kilchoman's usual 50ppm. No sherry butts, so cleaner and fruitier than the previous edition. Stewed plums, vanilla, creamy caramel and chocolate, lemon zest, with some grassy peat on the finish.
