Founded in 1850 in the heart of Pouilly-Fuissé, Chalet Pouilly’s vineyards stretch across 8.5 hectares of suns-soaked of hillsides spanning the appellations of Pouilly-Fuissé, Saint-Véran, and Mâcon-Solutré. The estate has recently converted to organic farming, and practices traditional growing methods with great respect the terroir while creating richly flavored wines with a rustic touch.
From 2 hectares of older vines grown on limestone & clay with fossil-rich marl. Aged 7-8 months in temperature regulated tanks.
Sweet ripe fruits open the rich nose. Gently creamy on the palate, flavors of ripe apple & nectarine join crisp lemony citrus & fresh baked bread. A minerally tang of salinity finishes out this rich & broad, yet gentle & fresh Chardonnay.
