The Badstube vineyard, just outside of Bernkastel, has a gentler slope & richer soil than the other vineyards on the Dr. Paul-Bergweiler estate, where the natural springs & clay-slate soils create full-bodied, assertive wines.
Lanolin, quince jam, & mandarine peel framed by smoked salt, nutmeg, white pepper, & a clean minerality. Balanced, graceful, complex, & off-dry, yet perfectly easy-drinking.
