Charles Genet, Claude’s youngest son, is now at the helm of this estate. Though the property spans 6 hectares of vines, only 1.5 hectares are used for their own production, with the rest sold to bigger houses nearby.
Chardonnay grapes grow on Belemnite chalk, then are gently pressed before moving to steel vats for fermentation. The wine then ages in steel 6-8 months before bottling, and finished off using the Méthode Champenoise.
Beautifully light, bright, and delicate, with vibrant citrus & chalky mineral aromas. The palate is tangy, focused, and stony, with notes of lemon-lime & orange citrus, white peach, gold & green apples, honeydew, and fresh crusty bread. The slate, chalky minerality carries through to a pleasantly toasty finish.
100% Chardonnay. RM.
