The Chalmers family has been committed to the Australian wine scene for over 30 years at their winery in Murray Darling, Victoria. They prefer to let the fruit speak for itself, with sustainable farming & without interfering too much in the process.
The 35 ha Mother Block site is the location of the family home & business, and has plantings for each of the 75+ mostly Italian varietals they’ve imported to Australia in the last 20 years. This is a co-fermented blend of 4 white Italian varietals, planted on red sandy loam with limestone underneath. Wild fermented, then aged in steel on the lees for 6 months.
Crisp & refreshing, with aromas of citrus, florals, and white stone fruit. Tangerine, lemon aspen, pear blossom, & golden apple notes shine in this dry, bright, easy-drinking wine, which finishes with a light, textural grip.
77% Vermentino, 16% Ansonica, 4% Falanghina, 3% Pecorino. Sustainable.
