Castell del Remei is the oldest winery in Catalonia, established in 1780. A refreshing maritime breeze called the “Marinada” helps regulate the temperatures of the vines, which lie around 27 meters above sea level.
“Gotim Bru” is their flagship wine, coming from estate-grown grapes that benefit from the Mediterranean-continental climate, and mostly chalky soils with some patches of limestone. Stainless steel fermentated, then aged 10 months in French & American oak.
Intense & seductive noes of balsamic & toasted cocoa, give way to spicy nuances, black plums, and rich, dark brambly fruit. Graceful and harmonious, notes of pastry, aromatic herbs, nuts and wafers come through before smooth, supple tannins and a savory, minerally complexity.
