Marco Zani’s father Giulio purchased Castel Noarna and its surrounding vineyards in Trentino, but sold off the grapes to local negotiants. Marco always knew he wanted to be a winemaker, a dream he realized in 1988. Today, he crafts organically grown, natural wines in the castle’s 10th century cellar.
The vineyards are located at 350m above sea level, on soils rich in minerals & poor in organic matter. Ghenè toes the line between rosé and a lighter red, spending 36-48 hours on the skins before fermentation & aging in steel.
Tart cranberry, black cherry, red apple skin, strawberry candies, pickled grapefruit rind, smoky & flinty florals.
100% Lagrein. Organic. Natural.
