Tajinaste is named for the beautiful flower (Echium wildpretii) found mostly on Mount Teide in Tenerife. The estate is in the hands of 3rd generation grower Agustín García Farrais. The family owns 3 hectares of vines, rent 9ha, & purchase grapes from another 16ha.
A touch Albillo Criollo adds a burst of acidity to this 90% Listán Blanco blend. Each parcel is hand harvested & vinified separately in steel, with 20% aged 2-3 months in neutral French oak.
Creamy & round, with tropical fruit aromas & a dash of citrus. A slightly smoky, volcanic mineral edge & pleasant floral notes frame pineapple, apple, fennel, and forest notes.
90% Listán Blanco, 10% Albillo Criollo. Sustainable.
