Andrew Rich’s passion for wine began when he edited a wine column for a national magazine. He headed to Burgundy to study winemaking and viticulture, honed his style at Bonny Doon for 5 vintages, then landed in Oregon in 1994 with the intent of making Rhone-style wines in the Willamette Valley. Along the way, he discovered his love of Pinot Noir, which has become his main focus in his goal to make wines of balance and grace.
Fruit from two parcels in Yamhill-Carlton and Eola Hills was destemmed, fermented in stainless steel, then aged 11 months in French oak (25% new).
Irresistibly charming and approachable, with plenty of juicy, enticing dark cherry and berry fruit. Savory notes of dried herbs, chipotle, dried flowers, cola nut, and blood orange frame a core of mineral-accented tart cherry fruit, highlighting the fresh acidity, supple texture, and silky, seamless, vibrant finish.
100% Pinot Noir. Organic.
