Marco and Massimo Zorzettig’s winery is located in the hills of Fruili, which in their native tongue is called “Altùris”. Located in the far northeast of Italy, just a short walk from the border of Austria and Slovenia, the vines at Altùris benefit from a unique microclimate. The Julian Alps protect from cold winds from the north, and warm breezes swoop in from the Adriatic.
Whole Ribolla Gialla grapes are softly pressed, with fermentation and aging on the lees takes place in glass-lined cement tanks.
Lively and brilliant, with a bouquet of peach, melon, apple, acacia flowers, pear drop candy, and lemon peel. The fresh minerality and bright acidity bring complexity on the palate, with a fuller texture from the lees aging.
